About Rose Debate Institute
We exist to empower our culture to think critically and speak with confidence, eloquence and civility, in the pursuit of truth.
The Rose Debate Institute provides after school programs and private courses teaching public speaking and debate to students of all ages. Originating in the San Francisco Bay Area, we have expanded to schools in Boston, and nationwide with online programs.
During the Coronavirus pandemic, we have doubled our efforts to make quality instruction available to students sheltering in place across the country. For the past few months, we have been providing online classes via Zoom with great success. We maintain our first-rate quality by keeping a small student to teacher ratio, short but frequent class times, and by training our affable instructors to connect with students through the camera with engaging and thoroughly prepared lesson plans.
All of our courses focus on these three things:
Public speaking is one of the most prevalent fears in the United States. Our courses inspire students with the confidence they need to overcome this fear and prepare for success.
All of life’s endeavors rely on effective communication. We create an environment where students can grow as communicators with their peers.
We train our students to make strong impressions, to hold meaningful conversation, and to speak persuasively — indispensable skills to the modern leader.
What Makes Us Unique?
1. Experience. Our staff are highly qualified in the realm of communications, speech, debate, and public speaking.
2. Youth. Our students really look up to their Rose Institute Instructors. Many of our staff are currently pursuing degrees in the sphere of business and communications. This enables us to connect with our young audiences not just as teachers, but mentors as well.
3. Training. All Rose Institute teachers have studied under founder, CEO, and master speaker Paul Rose. They have all been trained specifically to teach Rose Institute’s tailored lessons to great effect.
We are an after-school vendor for more than 50 schools across the country. Schools include Public, Private – both secular and Catholic -, Charter, and co-ops.
We also offer classes not affiliated with schools. These are held at locations conveniently located for our students and registration is open to the public.
Several of our programs are organized by a private group who wants exclusive personalized instruction. These classes are a great opportunity for students and family to get private attention and flexible scheduling.
Currently all Rose Debate programming is running online. Since the outbreak of Covid-19, we have switched our instruction to Zoom with great success!
